Together, let’s empower every child to play and thrive!
The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) Soccer Program has partnered with Cleats 4 Kids to launch an inspiring initiative for the 2024/2025 soccer season. To support those in need, UNBC is offering free admission to any home game in exchange for a donated pair of cleats. This program not only aims to gather much-needed equipment but also encourages generosity and community involvement. It's initiatives like these that inspire others to give back, making a difference one pair of cleats at a time.

In alignment with our mission to foster community and responsibility through sport, Cleats 4 Kids organized a river and park cleanup at Bowmont Park in partnership with the Calgary West Soccer Club. Three boys' teams, ages 14-16, participated in the cleanup, with the City of Calgary generously providing TLC cleaning kits for safe and effective garbage disposal. The boys were split into groups and competed to see who could gather the most trash, making it a fun and engaging experience. After the hard work was done, the teams enjoyed snacks, prizes, and small-sided soccer games in the park. This initiative serves as a reminder of the power of organized sport—not just to build skills on the field, but to cultivate a sense of stewardship and gratitude for our environment, and to inspire future generations to give back to their communities.

Following the success and positive feedback from our first camp, Cleats 4 Kids and the Muslimah in Sports Society (MISS) are excited to commit to monthly Muslim Girls' Soccer Camps. For our second session, we saw incredible growth with 40 girls registered! The day was filled with drills, games, snacks, and cheers as we introduced newcomers to the joys of soccer and helped budding athletes further develop their skills. It was a fun and rewarding experience, fostering a love for the sport and building a strong, supportive community for young Muslim girls.

In collaboration with the Cleats 4 Kids Foundation, the University of Regina Women’s Soccer team rallied their community for an equipment drive during their season home opener. Fans and supporters generously donated soccer gear, helping to ensure that children in need have the opportunity to play and enjoy the sport. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support, donate, and make a difference—your contributions are giving more kids the chance to experience the joy of the game!

Cleats 4 Kids was honored to support and participate in the Nila Care Foundation’s Charity Volleyball Tournament. The Nila Care Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to making healthcare and essential facilities more accessible to underprivileged communities in third-world countries. This event was focused on raising funds to build playgrounds in impoverished areas of Jamaica, bringing joy and safe play spaces to children in need. It was a privilege to be part of this impactful initiative and contribute to a brighter future for communities abroad.
